Hello All,
Quick last minute update and cheering time/location! So, I picked up
my race packet at the Sheraton on 7th and 53rd earlier today and lemme
tell you it was quite the scene. Race organizers and volunteers all
working in concert to move hundreds and hundreds of athletes through a
briefing, a sign in and a packet pickup with wrist bracelet placement
by a race official. The bracelet stays on till well after the race,
they're pretty serious about it.
Most importantly, I found out my race number and wave start. I'm
number 4204 and my wave starts at 7:33 am. Now that I know the
starting time I can tell you that with any luck and a smile from on
high I should be running on 72nd street between 9:30 and 10am. My
family will be on 72nd and Columbus and that's where I'll be looking
for familiar faces. If you are going to be somewhere in the park do
let me know. As the runners run by you can make your way into the park
on 72nd street, across the traverse and follow the festivities over to
the finish line. After I finish (hopefully better than 3hr 30min) I'll
make my way over to 72nd on the east side to cheer on my teammates as
the run down the home stretch on their way to the finish.
I want to thank those of you that have already contributed to my
fundraiser of choice, The One Family Fund. Yesterday, at our last team
meeting before the race we got to meet and hear from two survivors of
terror attacks who were personally assisted by One Family. They
recounted emotional stories about how One Family was there for them
and their families to help them through their most difficult times.
Quite emotional. Thank you all very much for helping me and for those
who haven't yet, please consider supporting this worth while cause,

Hope to see you on the course!
Good Shabbz,
~Sasha

Beyond the foreign policy talk what I found quite interesting was towards the end of the interview Milliband clearly states he is an atheist. As someone who follows American politics it is refreshing to see a politician in power not have to be "god fearing".
